Age 6 | 2011

Throughout 2011, Bintang studied various techniques from pencil and crayon to stamp printing, using his own hand as a stamp, applied directly to paper. Such work is significant as it documents the size of Bintang’s hand when he was six-years old. At this age, Bintangalso continued his exploration of recycled materials, using items such as milk cartons as drawing surfaces. He regularly painted with acrylic on canvas and as his energy increased, Bintangspent entire afternoons after school drawing. In order to preserve his works on cardboard, Bintang’s parents have stored them in glass cases in order that they are not destroyed or gather dust.
